KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead and communicate all issues in pre-shift and cross shift meetingsOversee employee job rotation and distribution of work assignments and provide guidance to a team memberEnsure each Team Member is performing standardized workFollow maintenance procedures for all machines (TPM)Assist in coordinating and performing routine changeovers and set-up activities according to production schedule andcustomer requirementsAssist supervisor with overtime schedulingConduct daily Layered Process Audits (LPA) and implement corrective actions when requiredConduct SPC checks and first offs as per customer requirementsEnsure standardized work compliance from all team members including performing error proof checksAssist with training and orientation of new employees and maintain the training matrixComplete end of shift reporting and ensure work area is standard for the next shiftParticipate in and comply with the continuous improvement ideasFollow appropriate internal and external escalation procedures whenever a risk to the customer occursEDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: PERFORMANCE MEASURES:Secondary School Diploma or equivalent preferredMinimum 3 years related work experience inautomotive manufacturing requiredAbility to provide guidance, coaching/mentorship toteam membersComputer literate (MS Office-Word, Excel, Outlook)Operations Strategy ImplementationOperational PrinciplesMAFACT ImplementationMAFACT AuditsCORE COMPETENECIES & SKILLS:Must possess leadership and interpersonal skills and be able to relay instructions clearlyMechanically inclinedEffective communication, organizational, time management skillsUnderstanding of lean manufacturing, an assetLicensed forklift operator, an assetAble to lift heavy objects specific to the operationAbility to understand and operate all mechanical equipment in designated work cellsDemonstrated ability to effectively solve problemsMust have strong awareness of safetyMust be flexible to rotate between jobsPure Staffing Solutions Inc. represents the full spectrum of staffing services for qualified personnel to meet the evolving needs of companies - from small, emerging growth companies to Fortune 500 clients; no challenge is too big or too small.
